University Of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Holds Commencement Ceremony In May
The following individuals from our area are among 3,400 prospective candidates for degree attending University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee commencement exercises Sunday, May 21, 2017, in Milwaukee: Dylan Riley, Engineering & Applied Science, BSE - Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Belleville; Jeffrey Strand, School of Information Studies, BS - Bachelor of Science, Belleville; Max Eggenberger, Helen Bader School Soc Welfare, BS - Bachelor of Science, New Glarus.
UW-Whitewater College of Arts and Communication Scholarship Recipients Named
The following local students received a scholarship from the College of Arts and Communication at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
Toni Gerner, Belleville, who is studying music. Gerner was awarded the Gala Concert Scholarship. Emily Roska, New Glarus, who is studying music. Roska was awarded the Gala Concert Scholarship.
“Considering the number of truly fine students across the disciplines of Arts and Communication, it is an honor to be designated as a scholarship recipient,” said Robert Mertens, Interim Dean of the college. “The pursuit of artistic or scholarly excellence, coupled with a consistently high level of academic performance, has been recognized by the faculty and staff as truly deserving of this award. Let this award be a reminder of your accomplishments and of the college’s generous donors who support scholarships that they may change the lives they touch.”
