Please join us at 1:30 p.m., on Monday, May 29, 2017, as the Green's Prairie Cemetery Association hosts its annual Memorial Day celebration. Bring your own chairs and sun hats. In case of rain the ceremony will be held in the York Town Hall in Postville.

In addition to honoring the veterans of three wars buried in the cemetery, area authors Tom Mitchel of Monroe and Dave Green of New Glarus will tell us of Civil War veteran Joel Walker who served three years in the 8th Wisconsin Infantry and his wife, Anna, who died on May 28, 1917.
