The New Glarus Elementary School wrapped up the holiday season with a four-week long food drive, collecting over 1,604 pounds of food for the Green Cares Food Pantry. This four-week long Holiday Food Drive collected boxed, bagged, and canned goods, as well as hygiene products.

In addition to the Food Drive, Mrs. Kranz, the K-6 art teacher, ran a project called "Creating for a Cause".  New Glarus Elementary 3rd and 4th grade students each created five clay ornaments, which were given out as a thank you for every $5.00 donation to the food pantry.
