Marquel Hawthorn accepts a scholarship check from Jim McNeill. Marquel, the daughter of Mark and Monica Hawthorn, Monticello, is currently enrolled at Madison Area Technical College majoring in Nursing.
The New Glarus Masonic Lodge #310 annually awards scholarships of $6,750 to graduating seniors from Belleville, Monticello and New Glarus. Last year the New Glarus Lodge provided funding for additional AEDs at the three school districts and continues a hearing aid assistance program.
