Grants Awarded by New Glarus Community Fund and the New Glarus Excellence in Education Fund

New Glarus Community Fund and New Glarus Excellence in Education Fund presented grants at a reception at the New Glarus Hotel. Pictured above are the New Glarus Community Fund recipients.

Since its inception in 1996, the New Glarus Community Fund & New Glarus Excellence in Education Fund has awarded more than $282,000 in grants to area organizations. At a recent reception at the New Glarus Hotel over $22,300 was awarded to the following organizations:

New Glarus Community Fund: New Glarus Area EMS – Siren Amplifier; New Glarus Library – Not Your Grandma's Library; New Glarus Vision – Operation Batting Cage; School District of New Glarus – Wyalusing Bethel Horizons; New Glarus Historical Society – Settler's Cabin Restoration; New Glarus Fire District – Roof Vent Saw Replacement; Big Brothers Big Sisters of Green County – NG School Friends Mentoring; Family Promise of Green County – Gas Cards; Friends of New Glarus Woods State Park – Self-Guided Ecosystem Educational Signs; SWCAP – Green Cares Food Pantry; Village of New Glarus – Dog Park Fencing; Wilhelm Tell Guild – Shooting Barn & Tell Grounds Electrical Repairs & Flagpole.

Pete Etter accepted a grant for the New Glarus Historical Society. This grant from the New Glarus Community Fund was part of the Dr. Fred W. & Alice J. Kundert Charitable Fund.

New Glarus Excellence in Education Fund: School District of New Glarus: 3/4 STEM Stations; Wyalusing/Stonefield Village; Blankets for Compassion; Breathe for Change; Stand Up and Learn; STEM Bins.
