On Tuesday, voters in the School District of Belleville cast ballots for the first school-related referendum in our community in more than 20 years. The results were overwhelming. Sixty-eight percent of voters said “Yes” to the referendum question on the ballot, supporting a plan to address numerous facility needs in the district.

While we are grateful that the plan the board presented received support from the community, we are even more appreciative of all the time and effort community members gave to be part of the process.
