The New Glarus Fire Department will be hosting Firefest on Saturday, August 6, 2016. Firefest is an interactive family event. Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase tickets and merchandise in support of the New Glarus Fire Department. 50/50 half cash raffles will be running throughout the day – tickets can be purchased from the food stand or from members of the fire department during walkthroughs.

From 11:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m., there will be fire truck rides for all ages, a spray house, kid's waterfights, an inflatable bouncy house and NGFD temporary tattoos. The concession stands also open at 11:30 a.m., and will be open until Midnight, with delicious bratwurst, hot dogs and other delectable sandwiches from Hoesly's Meats in New Glarus, and the beverage stand will have beverages to quench any thirst.

The open waterfight tournament begins at 2:30 p.m., and is open to any three person team in the double elimination tournament.

Back by popular demand is the steak fry from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., with free musical entertainment by The Greenfield Brothers.

Cherry Pie hits the stage at 8:30 p.m. and plays until Midnight.

The New Glarus Fire Department is a volunteer emergency service, professionally staffed by thirty-six firefighters from the community. Over the past several years, your generous donations have purchased additional firefighting and rescue equipment; this allows them to accomplish the mission of the New Glarus Fire Department more efficiently and safely. The members of the New Glarus Fire Department wish to thank you for your generosity and also ask for your continued support.
