Green County Democrats Host First Annual Picnic

The Democratic Party of Green County hosted its first annual picnic for members and friends on Sunday, July 10th, at Twining Park, Monroe. More than fifty enthusiastic people welcomed public officials and candidates who were on hand, including U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin; State Senators Jon Erpenbach, 27th Senate District and Janis Ringhand, 15th SD; Representatives Sondy Pope, 80th Assembly District and Mark Spreitzer, 45th AD; and Jeff Wright, Democratic candidate for the 51st Assembly District that includes Monroe and southwestern townships in the county. Wright is Assistant Superintendent at Sauk Prairie School District and lives with his wife and two young children in Plain, Wisconsin.

The Green County Democrats will also host a booth at the Green County Fair from Wednesday, July 20 through Sunday, July 24. Candidates for office will be at the booth at various times throughout the fair. More information as it becomes available can be found at greendems.blogspot.com.
