Travis McCoy and Kaleb Shulka are pictured here with their winning robot, Phil.
This year's MHS Video Game Design class finished the school year with the "Godzilla Challenge" where teams of students were given a set of robotic LEGOs and then challenged to knock down as many "skyscrapers" in the city of "Montopolis" as possible. The winning team was Travis McCoy and Kaleb Shulka, with their robot, Phil. You can watch the video of the teams in action here: https://youtu.be/tjgi6XH11pM.
A big thank you to the Monticello Excellence in Education Fund for the grant that made the purchase of the LEGOs possible.
The Monticello Excellence in Education Fund provides private support to the Monticello School District for programming that falls outside of the district budget. Grants from the Fund enhance educational programs, offer extended educational opportunities, encourage innovation, and recognize the achievements of students and staff.
