On Monday, August 24, the New Glarus School District held its Annual Meeting.  Preliminary numbers indicated that taxes will remain steady and enrollment will continue to grow.  The tax rate for the past three years has been $11.63 per $1,000 of home value, and that rate is expected to continue for the 2015-16 school year.  The total tax levy is anticipated to be $4,508,051, and the total budget will be $12,778,260.
