Three members of the Belleville school board including (L-R) Julie Porto, Jill Remy, and Marian Viney, attended the 2015 Leadership Institute at the Heidel House in Green Lake recently.

With three different tracks, the school board members attended all of the sessions that were offered including Closing the Achievement Gap the Brown Deer Way, The Boards' Role in Equity Leadership, Stress: How to Curtail Teachers' True Kryptonite, Building a Mission-Driven Work Culture, The Key Work of School Boards, The Opportunity of Difference, The Board's Role in Superintendent Evaluations, Academic and Career Planning, Insights from Developing a New Teacher Pay Plan, Fund Balance 101, Communication and Engagement Strategies for Facility Referenda, and Impact of Vouchers and Charters on Wisconsin Public Schools.

The board members reported on the leadership institute at the July 27th school board meeting.
