Band and Choir Students Entertain a Full Crowd at Spring Concerts

The sixth grade band and choir students performed to a packed house on Thursday, May 14.
Last Thursday, Belleville sixth grade band and choir students entertained a full high school auditorium.
Band students, under the direction of Stephanie Meir, preformed 18 selections with several students performing solos or small group selections that included "Old MacDonald Had a Band," "Banana Boat Song," "New World Symphony," "Ode to Joy," "Silver Moon Boat," "Mickey Mouse March," "March Militaire," "On Top of Ol' Smokey," "Kum-Bah-Yah," "Hard Rock Blues," "Basic Blues," "A Mozart Melody," "Rolling Along," "Popcorn Prelude," "Cossack Dance," "American Patrol," "School Spirit," and "Wildcat Rouser."
Choir students, under the direction of Sara Krueger, preformed six selections with two students preforming solos.
Erin Przybyl sang "Caro Mio Ben," and Jacob Kean sang "I Wonder as I Wonder." Other selections performed by the choir included "Fire and Rain," "Shake the Papaya Down," "Child of Peace," and "Don't Stop Believing."
The Belleville School District Music Boosters, who are a volunteer organization committed to celebrating and promoting music-related activities and accomplishments within the Belleville School District, supplied beverages and snacks.
Last Wednesday, the Belleville Middle School students celebrated their spring band and choir concert in the Belleville High School auditorium.
The band students, conducted by Stephanie Meir, played five selections including "El Cid," "Radetzky March," "Snake Charmer," "We Didn't Start the Fire," and "Sea Song Trilogy."
The choir students, conducted by Sara Krueger, performed "Sing of the Spring," "Wild Mountain Thyme," "Uptown Funk," and "The Lion Sleeps Tonight."
