Performances by the members of the forensics team, vocal jazz ensemble, jazz band and the improv club were the highlights of Belleville High School and Middle School Fine Arts Night on Wednesday, April 15.

Art projects by talented Middle School and High School students also were featured.

"This year's Fine Arts Night visual art participants, including seniors Jade Kolste, John Gorski, Anchitta Wangmukklang and Madelline Knox, will be representing Belleville High School in the 2015 Capitol Conference Art Show, along with juniors Isis Richards and Taylor Kenkel," said Jon Benash.

The show will take place on the first floor of the Pyle Center located on the UW-Madison campus and will run from April 13 through April 26.

Forensics performers and acts included Sadie Pattinson (prose), Mica Julian (solo acting), Grace Schulting, Mikayla Cann and Shea O'Malley (group interpretation) Lauren O'Connor (prose) and Grace Patrow (farrago).

Members of the 2015 Forensics team includes Brian Weasner (radio), Jacob Hackman (radio), Toni Gerner (prose), Sadie Pattinson (prose), Lauren O'Connor (prose), Bridget Olig (prose), Lukas Diaz (moments in history), Sean O'Connor (moments in history), Mica Julian (solo acting serious), Madeline Knox (solo acting humorous), Jered Barclay (solo acting humorous), Patrick Schwoegler (solo acting humorous), Kira Elmer (play acting), Megan Campbell (play acting), Lauren Severson (play acting), Abe Morrick (group interp), Rhett Cisler (group interp), Jordan Hosler (group interp), Shea O'Malley (group interp), Grace Schulting (group interp), Mikayla Cann (group interp), Miranda O'Rourke (poetry), Taylor Vesperman (poetry), Eliza Woods (poetry), Grace Paltrow (farrago), Taylor Halvensleben (farrago), Grace Przybyl, (storytelling), Connor Theis (group interp), Riley Medenwald (group interp), Max Gerner (4 min), and Noah Fahey (4 min).

Of the 31 members, 30 went to the state meet last week.

"This is the largest forensics team in more than 20 years at Belleville High School," said Susette Alsteens, who has coached for more than 15 years and is one of the organizers of Fine Arts Night including Michelle Sparks, Sandy Walejko, Stephanie Meir, Sara Krueger, and Jon Benash.

Seniors on the forensics team include Madelline Knox, Jacob Hackman, Mica Julian, Toni Gerner, and Sean O'Connor.

New this year was a performance by the members of the Improv Club including Joey Sokol, Patrick Schwoegler, Abe Morrick, Madelline Knox, Jacob Hackman, Rhett Cisler and Amber Alme.

Fine Arts Night also included performances by the Vocal Jazz Ensemble and the Jazz Band.
