Local Police Assist With Drug Enforcement
The Brodhead Police Department, assisted by the Wisconsin State Patrol, Green County Sheriff’s Department, Rock County Sheriff’s Department, Evansville Police, Orfordville Police, Belleville Police, New Glarus Police, Rock County Special Investigative Unit, Wisconsin Department of Corrections division of Probation and Parole and the State Line Area Narcotics Team, conducted a drug interdiction enforcement campaign on Friday, April 17, 2015, from 5:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m., in the Brodhead area. Officers, Agents, Troopers and Deputies, including K-9 units from Monroe, Green County, Rock County and the State Patrol, all participated in the campaign.
The combined efforts of all law enforcement agencies that took part in the campaign produced the following results: 54 traffic stops, 26 traffic citations issued, 60 traffic warnings issued, 12 drug related arrests and 10 criminal arrest.
Notable arrests included Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver and two outstanding felony arrest warrants. One warrant was for Strangulation Suffocation Cruelty toward a Child and the other felony warrant was for Sexual Assault of a Child under 16 years of age.
