Habitat Resale Store Opening in May in Monroe
The new Habitat Resale Store will be accepting donations at their location during hours of operation starting April 11, 2015
Habitat for Humanity of Green County announces the opening of its Habitat Resale Store, a home improvement thrift store, May 2015. The grand opening date will be announced soon, but donations being accepted now, along with recruitment of volunteers.
Habitat Resale Store is located at 1001 30th Street, Monroe, WI. The days and hours of operation will be Monday 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Thursday 12:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., and Saturday 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
We will be accepting donations at our location during hours of operation starting April 11, 2015, with a grand opening mid-May 2015 (date to be announced soon!).
Accepted Items include (Items can be new or used but must be sellable condition): Building Supplies (Sheetrock/Drywall/Wall board), Insulation, Lumber, Roofing (Shingles), Tools (Hand tools/power tools), Tile, Ceiling Tiles, Landscaping materials (stone), Wallpaper, Lighting, Plumbing Fixtures (Sinks, Tubs, Toilets), Cabinets (Kitchen and Bathroom), Cabinet and Door Hardware, Doors, Windows (double panes), Furnace, Window Air Conditioner, Wooden Furniture (chairs, tables, dressers, bed frames,)-No upholstered furniture accepted, Carpet (new), Blinds/Curtain Rods, Wood Flooring, Refrigerator/Stove, Washer/Dryer, Dishwasher/Microwave.
Items that cannot be accepted include: Built-in ovens, built-in microwaves, double ovens, Clothing, bedding, towels, dishes, flatware, glasses, Curtains, drapes and vertical blinds, Glass or Mirrors, Household chemicals, Jewelry, Paint, Trash compactors, Vintage, appliances, Industrial/commercial paint/epoxies/stains, Loose shingles, Toys, books, magazines, Office cubicles, dividers, Oil based paints or stains, Outdated computer equipment or electronics, Upholstered Furniture, Caulk.

Our new Habitat Resale Store will provide a new outlet for the recycling and reuse of used and surplus materials while encouraging sustainable living and the building of our Green County community. The Habitat Resale Store has something for everyone. It is a cost-effective outlet for home improvement projects that is open to the public. Quality used and surplus building materials are available at reduced prices. Profits will help fund the mission of the Habitat of Humanity or Green County.
