New Glarus Brewing Company employees Ciaran O'Neill-Culhane and Annie Jones present a check to Angela Moore, YWCA Rock County Executive Director; Kelly Eickstead, YWCA Rock County Board; Lori Kokes, YWCA Rock County Development Director; Jen Draz, YWCA Rock County Communications Director and Clair Berg, YWCA Rock County Board.

New Glarus Brewing Company is donating more than $33,000 to YWCA Rock County to address a critical need during these harsh winter months. In November 2019, one of YWCA Rock County's boilers failed, with the building's second boiler nearing the end of its lifespan. Both boilers are original to the building, which opened in 2001. Without the boilers, YWCA Rock County's community service center would not be able to operate in the winter months, leaving domestic violence victims and families who utilize our child care, as well as our administrative staff, in the cold.

Previously, YWCA Rock County was able to secure $20,400 through community fundraising. At a check presentation on Friday, January 17, 2020, New Glarus announced it would donate the remaining funds needed to replace both boilers. The donation from New Glarus Brewing Company totals $33,726.

"We are grateful for the support from New Glarus Brewery to provide heat to those we serve," said Angela Moore, YWCA Rock County Executive Director. "Many, many deserving people who walk into and through our community service building will benefit from this generous gift for years to come."
