Christen Brothers Service of Belleville is celebrating 40 years in business! Owners Jeff and Mark's automotive business has been growing steadily since they opened in 1983 in a small two-bay Mobil service station on the corner of Main Street and River Street. A full-service gas island and one vehicle lift were all that were needed to begin what was to be a successful business for years to come.

Forty years ago, Jeff was working for an auto parts store and Mark was getting his start in an auto dealership. The "Mobil Station" in downtown Belleville came up for sale and the brothers took a chance. After building a business known for quality repairs and friendly customer service, they built a new facility at the end of Greenway Cross Court in 1998. That location offered a comfortable customer waiting room, four car lifts and six bays for working.

In 2012, they designed and built their current facility at the corner of River Street and Bowlavard Avenue. In this 10,800 square foot, 11-bay repair facility, Christen Brothers Service employs four repair technicians and has the knowledge and equipment to handle today's high-tech automobiles. Advanced computer diagnostics, state-of-the-art computer aided balancing and alignments, fuel injector service and complete tire service are just a few of the things that they excel at.

Throughout the years, the brothers have given back to the community through the support of numerous community programs, including the annual Belleville UFO Day Festival, Belleville Community Picnic Fireworks, Belleville Light Up the Darkness, the Sugar River Senior Center, Belleville Kiwanis Club, Belleville Chamber of Commerce, Belleville School District and Aquatic Center, and many more. They also ran the "Day at the Drags", a yearly event from 1994 to 2011, allowing amateurs to race their vehicles. Since 2021, Christen Brothers Service has been working with a younger generation through the Dane County Youth Apprenticeship Belleville Program.
