Friday Fun Day

Green County Genealogical Society is holding a Friday Fun Day, February 10, 2023, from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m., at the GCGS center. The center is located in the lower level of the Monroe Public Library, 925 16th Avenue in Monroe.

Sharon Headley will give a short presentation on the “Family Search Website”. The first step will be setting up an account if you do not have one. Sharon will also explain how to find information on your ancestors, navigate around Family Search, find stories, and attach pictures and so much more. One-on-one help will be available. The session is free.

Bring your laptop and family information, such as birth dates and locations. Four computers are available if you cannot bring a laptop. Call or text Sharon at (801) 510-4028 to reserve one of the computers, or with questions. The GCGS Research Center (located in the lower level of the Monroe Public Library) is available to the public for research each Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Other times available by appointment by calling (608) 328-7436 on Tuesday, or Bill at (608) 325-2990.
