Lady Wildcats Win Over Waterloo

The varsity Belleville Lady Wildcats hosted Mineral Point on January 17th. Belleville was down at the half, 19-23, and could not keep up with the Lady Pointers' offense in the second, losing the game. The final score was Mineral Point 66, Belleville 46.
Toria Devoe led Belleville with 12 points and had 3 rebounds and 2 steals, while Maddi DeSmet scored 9 points and had 12 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 steals and Addison Edge put 8 points on the board with 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 3 steals.
On January 19th, Belleville hosted Waterloo. With a 10-point lead at the half, the Lady Wildcats battled in the second half to win the game. The final score was Belleville 54, Waterloo 43.
Maddi DeSmet scored 14 points to lead the Wildcats, along with having 19 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 5 blocks. Toria Devoe scored 11 points and had 1 rebound, 4 assists and 1 steal and Lainey Winkers and Addison Edge each scored 10 points, with Edge having 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal and 1 block and Winkers having 1 rebound and 1 assist.
The Wildcats hosted Lancaster on January 21st. Belleville trailed 28-35 at the half and lost the game. The final score was Lancaster 68, Belleville 60.
Scoring 15 points to lead Belleville was Toria Devoe, who also had 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Maddi DeSmet put 14 points on the board along with having 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 blocks, Addison Edge scored 13 points and had 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal and Lainey Winkers scored 10 points and had 3 rebounds and 1 steal.
The Lady Wildcats played at Dodgeville on January 24th. They will host Wisconsin Heights on January 27th and play at Belmont on January 31st before returning home to play New Glarus on February 2nd.
