Dear New Glarus Community,

Thank you all once again for supporting the Community Blood Drive on that VERY cold and blustery winter day!

Nine Power Red donors with 18 units, as well as 52 whole units, giving us a total of 70 units which was 10 over the goal set for our drive! Six donors were deferred and two were insufficient. (That was the category where I was usually placed so I do not even try to donate anymore!) When it stops, it STOPS and there is nothing you can do about it!

A great BIG thank you goes out to the local vendors for their generous contributions to our lunch table: Culver’s for their coupons, a pint for a pint, Subway for their delicious sandwiches, Hoesly’s Meats for their famous Beef Log Sausage, New Glarus Bakery for the Sugar Cookies, and to the hard workers in the kitchen who also supplied: Eloise Kuenzi – cookies, Lynette Reed – cookies and fudge, Linda and Tom Coughlin - cheese, JoAnn and Steve Arn – cookies, Bill Kuenzi – Cheese curds, Louise Lee – milk, Karen Strahm – cookies, Madeline and Clara Kuenzi - lunch helpers, Karla Larson – lunch helper. And last, but not least, THANK YOU to the Post Messenger Recorder! Your support and promotion our Blood Drives is fantastic! Also, the New Glarus Bible Church for the use of their fantastic facility!
