Belleville Holiday Events Return

December 1, 2022

After a two-year hiatus, the Friends of the Belleville Public Library and Together Belleville are sponsoring a downtown Cookie Walk and a Tree Lighting in Library Park. Downtown businesses and organizations will be handing out free treats. Come and join in the holiday fun.

The events begin at 4:00 p.m., on Saturday, December 3rd. Start at the Old Library and pick up your Cookie Walk bag and map. Friends will be serving free cocoa from 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. The Tree Lighting will begin at 5:30 p.m., with music, carols, and a reading of “A Visit from St. Nicholas” by Library Director, Bronna Lehmann.

Lehmann said, “The Library is so pleased to be a partner in these holiday events.”

After the Tree Lighting, hop in your car and drive over to Community Park for Merry and Bright. The park will be alight with displays from local businesses and community groups. Merry and Bright continues through the holiday season.
