The Belleville Turkey Drop organizers would like to thank the Belleville, New Glarus, and surrounding community members that braved the wind and cold to donate to the 11th Belleville Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drop that took place on Friday, November 11th. Donations to the food pantry included almost $1,800.00 in cash donations, 52 frozen turkeys and a whopping 637 pounds of food!!

Organizers would like to thank Mr. Gentilli's Belleville Middle School classes for their help in circulating flyers to the Belleville businesses; Doug Brown and Doug and Marian Viney for their turkey creation at Library Park; Julie Sutter Blair for all the wonderful signs and window art and all the big-hearted people who donated.

Special thank you once again goes out to Troy Baladou, the owner of Woods of Baladou, for graciously allowing the Turkey Drop to take place in his parking lot and allowing them to advertise on his windows; David Statz and Mike Doyle Jr. for providing firewood and the fire ring to keep all the human cold turkeys a little warmer while collecting donations; Piggly Wiggly grocery store for storing the turkeys and collecting items; staff at the Belleville Middle School and High School for collecting donations; and Karen Stremikis, Lori Stadelman and those that coordinate and help with the Thanksgiving meal prep at the Belleville Food Pantry.

Our small community never disappoints when it comes to helping others, and this year was no exception. Thank you again and see you next year!
