Shoppers enjoy the 2021 Christkindli Market in downtown New Glarus.

The New Glarus Christkindli Market will return to downtown New Glarus December 2nd through 4th, 2022! This outdoor Christmas market will host 30 vendors offering a variety of high quality, locally made and sourced gifts, along with Christmas decorations and foods, all housed in wooden on-street chalets. Shop local and support small businesses, while enjoying holiday lights and music.

Families can visit Santa Claus in his chalet, take a photo with Wisconsin "Reindeer", and sit high on a horse and wagon ride. Live outdoor music performances and entertainment will be scattered throughout the weekend, and admission to the Market is free.

For adults, New Glarus Brewing Company is offering Wassail, a one-weekend-only holiday stout with hints of chocolate, vanilla, and spice, with a sweet finish. Wassail is finished off with the bierstacheln experience, where a hot metal rod is plunged into the beer to caramelize it and create a dense foam. Wassail will only be available for onsite drinking at the Christkindli Market, so grab your chance to try it!

New Glarus Christkindli is produced by the New Glarus Chamber of Commerce, and made possible through generous donations from the New Glarus Brewing Company, BNG Investment Services, Chalet Landhaus Inn, Helvetia Systems, and Woodford State Bank.

Market hours are Friday, December 2nd, from 3:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., Saturday, December 3rd, from 10:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m., and Sunday, December 4th, from 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.

1st Street between 5th and 6th Avenues and 5th Avenue between Railroad Street and 2nd Street will be closed to traffic from Tuesday, November 29th through Tuesday, December 6th.
