Swim Team Places Third at Platteville Meet

The Monroe-New Glarus Varsity swim team competed at the Platteville-Lancaster Invitational, held at UW-Platteville, on October 22nd. They placed 3rd out of 7 teams.
The 200Y Medley Relay team of Amelia Geib, Maggie Piper, Riley Hoesly and Piper Faber finished 3rd with a time of 2:07.47.
Megan Chapman won the 200Y Freestyle, with a time of 2:05.04, while Kristina Foley finished 12th with a time of 2:29.17 and Brinlee Chapman finished 15th with a time of 2:45.79, which was a personal best.
In the 100Y IM, Anna Zentner finished 2nd with a time of 1:08.08, while Amelia Geib finished 5th with a time of 1:09.92.
In the 200Y IM, Maggie Piper finished 4th with a time of 2:40.10.
In the 50Y Freestyle, Riley Hoesly finished 3rd with a time of 27.18, while Danika Doll finished 9th with a time of 29.32, Amalia Morrison finished 11th with a time of 29.62 and Abby Ryan finished 19th with a time of 33.58.
In the 100Y Butterfly, Delaney Lynch finished 4th with a time of 1:03.72, which was a personal best time, while Anna Zentner finished 5th with a time of 1:06.92.
In the 100Y Freestyle, Piper Faber finished 6th with a time of 1:03.32, while Danika Doll finished 7th with a time of 1:03.39, Kristina Foley finished 14th with a time of 1;08.65, Amalia Morrison finished 15th with a time of 1:08.75 and Abby Ryan finished 17th with a time of 1:14.94.
In the 500Y Freestyle, Megan Chapman finished 2nd with a time of 5:35.56, while Delaney Lynch finished 3rd with a time of 5:51.71.
The 200Y Freestyle Relay team of Anna Zentner, Riley Hoesly, Megan Chapman and Delaney Lynch finished 3rd with a time of 1:49.08, while the team of Amalia Morrison, Maggie Piper, Danika Doll and Piper Faber finished 5th with a time of 1:58.76.
In the 100Y Backstroke, Amelia Geib finished 2nd with a time of 1:07.61.
In the 100Y Breaststroke, Maggie Piper finished 3rd with a time of 1:23.23, while Piper Faber finished 6th with a time of 1:24.32 and Brinlee Chapman finished 16th with a time of 1:39.20.
The team of Riley Hoesly, Anna Zentner, Megan Chapman and Delaney Lynch placed 3rd in the 400Y Freestyle Relay, with a time of 3:57.72, while the team of Danika Doll, Amelia Geib, Kristina Foley and Amalia Morrison finished 7th with a time of 4:17.40.
On October 29th, the swim team will compete at a conference meet in Baraboo.
