Going into the weekend undefeated, the Raiders traveled to Bigfoot for an all-day tournament. Going up against Division 1 Badger High School, the Raiders lost 0-3. We didn't let that first game get into our heads. Heading into our second game against Richland Center, Aiden Hatleberg netted 2 goals on his own giving the Raiders a 2-0 victory. After a 30-minute lightning delay, we went into our third game of the day going up against Lake Mills; a conference opponent. Going into halftime tied 0-0, the Raiders were furious. Aiden Hatleberg got hot and put in 2 goals for the Raiders, assisted by Tikeh Tazeh and Reid Nolden. The Raiders went on to win that game 2-1.

On Tuesday, the Raiders of Sugar River and the Spartans of McFarland, two top ten teams in the state for Division 3, went into a battle. The Raiders started out hot, pressuring their back line and not letting anything through our own back line. It was until the 9th minute when Jack Douma took a free kick from half field and Aiden Hatleberg tapped it in to put the Raiders on the board first. The Raiders held on to their lead for quite a while heading into halftime. In the 64th minute, the Spartans struck back tying the game at 1-1. Clayton Streiff recorded 8 saves on 9 shots.

On Thursday, the Raiders traveled to Lodi for a key conference game against the Blue Devils. The game started slow, but in the 28th minute Aiden Hatleberg struck with a goal making it 1-0. In the 54th minute, Goalie Clayton Streiff came up with a terrific PK save, Clayton also had 2 other saves. Later in the second half, Eli Leonard added a goal. In the final minutes of the game, Jack Leonard had set up a great header for Brycen Teasdale to finish off the game at 3-0.

The Raiders are now 6-1-1 (2-0 in conference play). They will take on Lakeside Lutheran at home on Tuesday and travel to River Valley on Thursday. The Raiders will also host Mount Horeb on Saturday the 17th for a big game, with it also being the Alumni game.
