Celebrating 110 Years of Marriage
September 1, 2022
On August 26th, Terry and Jean Kringle celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary by dining at Kristi's in New Glarus. They were joined by their friends Sara and Don Shultz, who were also married on August 26th, 1967. Terry and Jean were married in Webster, WI, and Sara and Don were married in Mercer, WI, 142 miles away. Fast forward to Belleville Junior High, 1977, when Sara joined the teaching staff in Belleville and they discovered that they share the same wedding day. (Their combined total comes to 110 years of marriage). All four of them were teachers.
Over the years they have celebrated many anniversaries together. A few particularly memorable events include a paddle wheel dinner cruise on the Mississippi River, an airplane ride in a 6-seater Cessna over Belleville at dusk, a Willy Nelson concert in Chicago, the Medieval Times dinner theater - with jousting, rafting on the Peshtigo River, and fruitless fishing trip for Lake Trout on Lake Michigan.
