Service Organizations Are Important

August 18, 2022

The Kiwanis came to Belleville in 1983. Over the years it has provided programs to help youth and contribute to the community. As with many organizations in our present society, we are facing a declining and aging membership. Some of our past efforts have helped foster community improvements like lake and highway cleanup, bike helmets and safety, pediatric EMS equipment and movies in the park. Today we support youth academic awards to encourage education, young readers (Bookworms), crosswalk flags, blood drives and special needs iPads. Will that continue?

We will have an informational meeting in the old historic library in Library Park in Belleville on September 15, 2022, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:25 p.m., to explain our activities and mission further. Please come and learn about Kiwanis.
