Wildcats Win Over New Glarus, Lose to Deerfield

The Belleville Wildcats and New Glarus Glarner Knights met in a second round WIAA Regional game on May 31st. The Wildcats jumped out to a quick lead in the first two innings and spent the next two sending 12 players over home plate to win the game. The final score was Belleville 15, New Glarus 2.
Carson Syse was 2x2 with 3 runs scored and 2 RBI, while Ryan Downing was 2x3 with 3 runs scored and 1 RBI for Belleville. Gavin Boyum scored twice, while Trevor Syse, Aidan Keyes, Anthony Nolden, Devin Frydenlund, Owen Stoikes, Niles Monroe and Carson Heller all scored once each.
