On Saturday, April 23, The Friends of the Library received thousands of donated books from the local community while everyone was enjoying the warm 80 degree weather! The Friends will offer these books for sale over Labor Day weekend. We then use the funds to sponsor on-going programs or to purchase equipment for our local library.

You can continue to drop donated books at the Library throughout the year. If you have a large amount, please speak to Erica, our Interim Director, so we can arrange to have you deliver to our storage area.

Any New Glarus library patron knows how limited our space is. There is no room for storing boxes of books, so the Friends must transport them all to one of the Friends basements. No easy task! Saturday we were blessed to have New Glarus Honor Society students to move and stack all these heavy books! Thank you all so very much! This is an example of our community working together for the common good!
