The Belleville Wildcats varsity baseball team hosted Pecatonica on April 11th. The Wildcats only scored 1 run in the 4th, and Pec won the game, 15-6.

Carson Syse was 1x3 at bat, scoring 1 run, while Owen Stoikes was 1x2 at bat and Kaden DeSmet, Devin Frydenlund and Aidan Keyes were all 1x3 at bat.

Carson Syse and Aidan Keyes shared pitching duties, both striking out 2.

On April 12th, the Wildcats hosted Wisconsin Heights. The Wildcats scored early and often, holding the Vanguards to just 3 runs. The final score was Belleville 9, Wisconsin Heights 3.

Ryan Downing was 2x4 at bat with 1 run scored, while Trevor Syse, Carson Syse, Anthony Nolden, Brett Olson, Owen Stoikes and Devin Freydenlund all recorded 1 hit. Trevor Syse and Brennan Keyes both scored 2 runs, while Carson Syse, Kaden DeSmet, Anthony Nolden and Owen Stoikes all scored 1 run each.

Ryan Downing and Trevor Syse shared pitching duties, with Syse striking out 11 and Downing striking out 3.

On April 14th, the Wildcats hosted Lodi. The game was close but the Wildcats couldn’t catch up and lost the game 8-12.

Anthony Nolden and Carson Syse both went 1x3 at bat and both scored 2 runs. Gavin Boyum also scored twice, and Aidan Keyes and Owen Stoikes scored once apiece.

Aidan Keyes, Devin Frydenlund and Brett Olson pitched for the Wildcats, with Keyes striking out 2.

The Wildcats hosted a make-up game against Pecatonica on April 11th and hosted Wisconsin Heights on April 12. They will host Lodi on April 14th.
