Ponies Track Off to Good Start

The Monticello Track team had a very successful night at the Sugar River Invitational in Belleville on April 5th.
As a team, the girls placed 4th overall.
“I’m so impressed with my girls. Only two athletes, and they placed 4th out of 6 teams!” said Coach Delwiche.
Hannah Clark took 1st in all four of the events that she competed in, the 100M Dash, the 200M Dash, the 400M Dash and the High Jump. Natalie Wahl took 2nd in Discus.
Meanwhile, the boys team placed 2nd overall at the meet.
“This is very exciting to have a team place so well!” Coach Delwiche exclaimed.
The 4x800 relay team consisting of Evan Guenther, Ian Schwartzlow, Braylon Hoesly and Brayden Ryan placed 2nd in the event.
Evan Guenther placed 2nd in 200M Dash and 2nd in 1600M Run. Brayden Ryan placed 2nd in 400M Dash. Wade Noriega placed 2nd in Discus. Seth Culberson placed 2nd in Shot Put.
The Ponies competed at Monroe on Monday, April 11th. They have a meet in Cambridge on April 14th and at River Ridge on April 19th.
