On March 31st, the New Glarus Glarner Knights varsity baseball team played at Mineral Point. The final score was Mineral Point 5, New Glarus 3.

The Knights hopped out to an early lead in the first inning and scored again in the third, and the game was tied up until the fifth when Mineral Point pulled ahead.

Ethan Friedrich went 2x3 for the Knights, scoring 1 run while Eli Zimmerman was 1x2, Leyton Mihlbauer was 1x4 with 1 run and Easton Dreyfus scored 1 run.

Eli Zimmerman pitched for 3.1 innings, striking out 7 while Brett Warrell pitched for 2.2 innings, striking out 2.

On April 9th, the Knights played in Monticello. The Knights didn’t allow Monticello/Albany a single hit and defeated them 10-0.

Eli Zimmerman was 1x2 at bat, scoring 2 runs, while Easton Dreyfus and Brennan Butler were both 3x1 and both scored 2 runs for the Knights. Leyton Mihlbauer and Ethan Friedrich scored 1 run each, while Cale Weeden scored 2.

Pitching for the Knights were Eli Zimmerman, who went 4 innings on the mound striking out 11, Leyton Mihlbauer, who pitched 1 inning and struck out 1, and Patrick Alt who pitched 1 inning striking out 2.

Tyler Anderson pitched 3.1 innings for Monticello/Albany, striking out 2, while Carson Gafner pitched 2.1 innings.

New Glarus played at Marshall on April 12th. They will play at Wisconsin Heights on April 19th and host Waterloo on April 21st.
