On Saturday, December 11, 2021, Boy Scout Troop 106 held an Eagle Scout Court of Honor for Graham Byrd.

Graham wrapped up his path to Eagle Scout on May 5, 2021, by participating in his Eagle Scout Board of Review. In this review, Graham answered questions from a panel of Troop 106 members, council members and his former middle school principal. During his review, Graham was asked about his achievements, volunteering for his community and completion of his service project. Graham's service project was assisting the New Glarus Fire Department in completion of a brick paver patio area outside their new building addition.

Graham met all the requirements for Eagle Scout with a total of over 80 merit badges having only needed 21; by the time Graham turns 18 he will have the opportunity to have earned 2 bronze, 1 silver and 1 gold palm to go along with his Eagle Medal. Graham earned the World Conservation Award, which consisted of earning Soil and Water Conservation, Citizenship in the World and Sustainability. Graham then earned, at last year's summer camp, the Complete Angler award, which is when you earn Fishing, Fly Fishing and Fish and Wildlife Management merit badges. Graham also has earned his Order of the Arrow Ordial and Brotherhood ranks. Graham has attended four summer camps in Wisconsin and Illinois, where he worked on merit badges and participated in many activities, including being a radio DJ at Tomahawk Scout Reservation and putting together a 60-minute broadcast. He also took a trip up to the Boundary Waters.

During the beginning of COVID, Graham participated in online merit badge classes, which put him into contact with scouts from all over the world, including the Aviation Merit badge, which he worked on with a group from Honolulu, Hawaii, and Italy.

Troop 106 would like to congratulate Graham on his achievement of Eagle Scout and wish him the best of luck in his future. They have always enjoyed his sense of humor and his ability to make everyone laugh when needed. Thanks Graham for being our Quartermaster and keeping our equipment in the state of readiness for all of our trips and events.
