Green County Sheriff's Office 2021 Awards

At the December 14, 2021, Green County Board of Supervisors Meeting, the Green County Sheriff's Office was pleased to present awards for 2021. The following deputies received awards:

Detective Betsy Krantz, Detective Chris Fiez, Detective Curtis Erdmann, Lieutenant John Schuetz and Lieutenant Cody Kanable received a Sheriff's Commendation for their outstanding efforts on and after January 9, 2021, during a missing persons and eventual homicide investigation into an infant's death in the Village of Albany.

Lieutenant Cody Kanable received a Life Saving award for measures taken to save a man's life during a medical emergency in the City of Monroe on February 14, 2021.

Deputy Melisa Richardson received a Sheriff's Commendation for alertly recognizing an outgoing inmate's deteriorating medical condition and implementing treatment procedures before the inmate was released from the Green County Jail on March 4, 2021.

Deputy Sara Conway and Deputy Scott Ellefson received a Life Saving award for their efforts in thwarting an inmate's suicide attempt in the Green County Jail on July 7, 2021.

Deputy Derek Whitcomb received a Life Saving award for actions taken on October 6, 2021, to save the life of an overdose victim in the Village of Albany.

Deputy Zackary Anderson received a Life Saving award for actions taken on November 9, 2021, to save the lives of two overdose victims in the Village of Albany.

Detective Curtis Erdmann received a Sheriff's Commendation for his outstanding body of work while assigned to the Stateline Area Narcotics Team from July 2017 to March 2021.

The Green County Sheriff's Office is proud of the efforts by all of our employees during a very difficult 2021.
