On November 22nd, the Monticello Lady Ponies hosted Belmont. Down 13-28 at the half, the Lady Ponies pressed on in the second half but weren’t able to overcome the deficit. Monticello lost to Belmont, 31-54.

“We struggled early on with their full court press. They are a solid team with good inside and outside play and hit (7) 3-pointers as well,” said Coach Lori Brokopp. “For us, freshman Dalana Trumpy had 13 pts, 10 rebounds and 3 steals. Junior Ellie Gustafson had 9 points 9 rebounds and 2 steals. Freshman Karlie Wilkins had 7 points 5 rebounds. Sophomore Jaden Zuber had 2 pts.”

Monticello hosted Parkview on November 29th. They will play away from home for most of December, starting with a game at Pecatonica on December 3rd and will then play at Juda on December 9th.
