On July 6th-8th, the New Glarus FFA Chapter attended the 92nd Annual Wisconsin State FFA Convention at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison. Six members attended the convention with Advisor Hanna Kearns: Ellie Eichelkraut, Austin Nimtz, Karson Wenger, Adi Bhattacharya, Owen Palmer and Deven Gilson. Throughout the convention, members attended general sessions, leadership workshops, career and post-secondary education expo and spoke to the Western Region National FFA Officer. When reflecting on the week, President Ellie Eichelkraut said, "It was so much fun to see all the blue jackets in one place again. The workshops were very interesting and I enjoyed learning more about FFA."

The New Glarus FFA was featured in the Hall of Stars Chapter Displays. One chapter from each of the 10 sections is selected to participate in this event to showcase their successes from the past year. In addition, during the 1st general session, representative Karson Wenger accepted the P.R.I.D.E award on behalf of the chapter. This award is presented to chapters that have shown an increase in 10+ membership during the past year. Finally, Adi Bhatacharya was selected to participate in the State FFA Honors Band playing the trumpet. This is a great honor and we are so proud to have him representing New Glarus FFA at the State level. Needless to say, it was a successful three days in Madison and an enjoyable experience for all who attended.
