Looking Back at "News of the Men In Service"
To the readers of this weekly compilation of New Glarus WWII Veterans: This is the last in a series that has run over the past year. To those readers who had a father or mother serve in the military, it is my hope that you have discovered some of the stories they didn’t relate to we, their children. They truly earned the name, “The Greatest Generation.”

At the July meeting of the Stuessy-Kuenzi Post of the American Legion, Kenneth H. Hoesly was elected Commander of the Post. Other officers elected are Gerald J. Disch, 1st Vice President; William F.
