Zwingli UCC Brotherhood of Monticello, Wisconsin, is beginning its ninth year with trash pick-up along their assigned portion of State Highway 69.

The Brotherhood joined the "Adopt-A-Highway" program in 2013, and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WDOT) requires three road clean-ups per year between April 1st and October 31st. The WDOT provides signs, safety vests, "People Working" placards, and bags in exchange for the work performed.

The Brotherhood has, since the beginning of their program, cleaned 160 miles of highway, expended 406 man hours, and removed 203 large bags of garbage.

During the past nine seasons, 217 volunteers have assisted with garbage pick-up along Zwingli UCC's assigned highway.
