Barbara M. Funseth

Barbara Marie (Disch) Funseth, age 76 of Belleville, passed away on May 2, 2021. She was born October 23, 1944, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Henry and Lauretta (Filek) Disch. At the age of two, she became a life-long resident of Belleville, WI. During her lifetime Barb attended Belleville schools, had five children with her husband, Harvey, and was an active member of the community.

Barb was a Girl Scout Leader, daycare provider, school bus driver and Transportation Director for the school district, Borland's fish fryer, Road Rally Founder, Community Picnic food stand worker and chicken deliverer, late night chauffeur, Noah's Ark (AODA) trip coordinator, traveling Euchre fundraiser, main street flower pot planter, and volunteer for numerous other community events and activities. She also enjoyed socializing through bowling and playing Euchre with the "Really Awfuls", gathering with the "Gopher Heads", shooting pool, playing softball, traveling with family and friends, and many more we may have forgotten, but all of you remember.

Barb is survived by her children, Jeff Funseth, New Glarus, WI, Jon Funseth, Belleville, WI, Terri (Vinnie Graziano) Funseth, New Port Richey, FL, Rick (Joan) Funseth, New Glarus, and Tracy Funseth, Belleville, WI; grandchildren, Greg (Amy), Joshua, Scott, Philip, Joey, Vincent, and Rowan; great-grandchildren, Quinton and Jade. She is further survived by a sister, Betty Disch; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Sherry (Ron) Schult, Don (Renee) Funseth, and Bob (Melinda) Funseth; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by many loved ones who passed before her.

Barb enjoyed her life to the fullest and wanted to thank the staff of Monroe Clinic Hospice and family and friends who helped along the way. "She sang her song and left..."

A gathering of relatives and friends was held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI. A memorial service followed the gathering at the funeral home.
