Belleville Girls Volleyball Are Regional Champions

Belleville's Girls Volleyball Team won the Regional Championship on Saturday, April 10, in Cuba City. The Lady Wildcats fought back from a two set deficit to beat the Cubans 3-2, 14-25; 18-25; 25-20; 25-22; 15-8. On Tuesday, April 13th, Sectionals will be held in La Crosse. Back Row (L-R): Asst. The Belleville volleyball team hosted Wisconsin Heights on April 5th, losing in five, 26-24; 20-25; 23-25; 25-19; 11-15.
Ava Foley had 17 kills, 4 aces and 11 digs, while Callie Smith had 8 kills and 13 blocks, Brooke Everson had 17 blocks, Josey Latorre had 16 assists, Kenna Edge had 11 assists and Melanie Humke had 14 digs.
On April 8th, the Wildcats played at Poynette. Belleville won in three, 25-20; 25-18; 25-23.
Brooke Everson had 11 kills while Alyssa Caskey had 5. Everson had 6 blocks. Josey Latorre had 12 assists and Kenna Edge had 5 assists, while Ava Foley had 10 digs and Melanie Humke had 9 digs.
On Saturday, April 10th, Belleville played at Cuba City for the Regional Championship. Belleville had been seeded #2 for Regionals, while Cuba City was seeded #1. The Wildcats fought back from a two set deficit to beat the Cubans 3-2, 14-25; 18-25; 25-20; 25-22; 15-8.
Ava Foley had 13 kills, 3 aces and 7 digs, while Callie Smith had 12 kills and 4 blocks, Madi Winterburn had 2 blocks, Alyssa Caskey had 2 aces, Josey Latorre had 29 assists, and Mikayla Caskey and Melanie Humke had 7 digs each.
On Tuesday, April 13th, Belleville, who has been reseeded at #4 for the Sectional tournament, played #1 seeded Royall at La Crosse Logan High School at 4:00 p.m. The winner then played the winner of the #3 Cashton vs #2 Riverdale match to advance to the Sectional Championship at 7:00 p.m., at La Crosse Central High School. Possible opponents for the Sectional Championship include Laconia, Poynette, Columbus and Brodhead.
