Ponies Win First Round of Sectionals, Lose to Hustisford in Sectional Finals

Junior Blake Klitzke sinks a 3-pointer to put the Ponies up for good with 37 seconds left during the win over the Shullsburg Miners.
On February 25th, the #1 seeded Monticello Ponies hosted the #4 seeded Shullsburg Miners, of the Six Rivers West conference, for a WIAA D5 Sectional Semi-Final game. The winner would earn the right to play either #2 seeded Hustisford or #3 seeded Stockbridge on Saturday night.
The Ponies were down by a single point at the halftime break, and by the end of regulation the game was tied at 52. However, the Ponies prevailed in OT and won the game, 59-55.
