Enjoying the Sun
March 4, 2021
Heidi Palmer got this beautiful photo of a pair of Bobcats near New Glarus. She commented that she had seen one in the area before, but not the pair.
The Wisconsin DNR said that there are Bobcats in all 72 counties in the state. Their analysis has suggested that fall population size in northern Wisconsin increased from about 1,600 to an estimate of around 3,800 bobcats in fall 2019. The DNR had no estimate for Bobcats in the southern part of the state.
Thank you Heidi for sharing the photo!
