The Monticello Ponies boys basketball team played at Albany on January 19th. Leading 41-10 at the half, the Ponies kept their lead throughout the second half to win the game. The final score was Monticello 73, Albany 31.

The Comets began the game with a 3-0 lead but the Ponies scored 25 out of the next 27 points to take a 20-point lead with less than 8 minutes to play in the first half. Monticello then outscored Albany 16-5 to finish the half with a 31-point lead.
