Lady Ponies Beat Pecatonica and Juda

The Monticello Lady Ponies hosted the Pecatonica Lady Vikings on Tuesday, January 12th. The Ponies held a 9-point lead at the halftime break. Monticello was outscored in the second half by a determined Pecatonica team, but managed to hold on for the win. The final score was Monticello 43, Pecatonica 39.

Harley Disch scored 8 points in the Ponies win over Pecatonica.
Ellie Gustafson scored 18 points to lead Monticello, and had 8 rebounds, 7 steals and 1 block. Harley Disch scored 8 points with 1 rebounds and 4 assists, and Mackie Errthum scored 7 points and had 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 5 steals and 5 blocks.
On Friday, January 15th, Monticello hosted Juda. Up 34-12 at the half, the Lady Ponies stomped all over the Lady Panthers in the second half and won the game. The final score was Monticello 59, Juda 21.
With 20 points, Ellie Gustafson led Monticello in scoring. She also had 6 rebounds. Harley Disch scored 17 points with 2 rebounds and 7 assists, while Mackie Errthum put 8 points on the board with 14 rebounds and 7 blocks.
Monticello plays at Black Hawk on January 21st, at Belmont on January 23rd and will host Benton on January 25th.
