On Monday, December 28th, the Wildcats traveled to take on an exceptionally good Highland team. Unfortunately, the Wildcats started the game slowly by getting down by 10 points in the first four minutes but after that they were able to right the ship with an extremely aggressive defense, which saw the Wildcats go into halftime with 27-21 lead. Coach Pharo said in the second half both teams came out incredibly determined to compete in the game and it saw both teams making runs at each other. But, at the end, there was a key steal by Ava Foley that helped seal the 60-58 victory for the Wildcats.

The game's leading scorer was Ava Foley, with 23 points. Other leaders for Belleville were Callie Smith with 14 points and 14 rebounds, and Mickey Stampfl added 12 points.

The following day the girls basketball team traveled to Edgerton to take on the Crimson Tide, who were coming into this game with a 7-1 record for the season. The game was very tight through the first half with both teams taking leads, leading to a halftime score of 26-24, Edgerton. The second half, the Wildcats came out strong and built a 5-point lead when foul troubles began to do them in. By the time the final whistle blew, the Wildcats saw 4 of their starting 5 foul out which led to them falling to Edgerton, 57-44.

Leading scorers for Belleville were Callie Smith with 12 points and 16 rebounds, Alyssa Caskey with 12 points, and Ava Foley adding 10 points to the Wildcat scoreboard.

The Wildcats traveled to Dodgeville on January 4th, to Cambridge on January 8th, and Parkview on January 9th.
