The Monticello Lady Ponies traveled to Argyle on December 22nd to take on the Lady Orioles. With a 10-point lead at the half, Monticello held on to their lead in the second half to win the game. The final score was Monticello 46, Argyle 39.

“We were able to get to the free throw line and convert on our free throws. Both teams had girls in foul trouble,” said Coach Mark Gustafson. “Alexa Siegenthaler hit a couple of big free throws at the end of the game to help us get the win.”

Leading the team with 13 points was Mackie Errthum, while Harley Disch scored 12 points and Ellie Gustafson and Alexa Siegenthaler each scored 8 points.

On January 4th, Monticello will play at Juda. On January 7th, Monticello plays at Barneveld and on January 9th the Lady Ponies will host Cambria-Friesland.
