New Glarus Adventsfenster Continues

The New Glarus Adventsfenster window reveals will continue through Christmas Eve. Pictured above are the windows by Restaino and Associates, at 109 5th Avenue, that said "Giving Hope" and featured some of the donations they had received as part of their food and funds drive for the Green Cares Food Pantry and the toy drive for Toys for Tots!
Each day in December, from the 1st to the 24th, a window will be revealed. Until their "opening day", the window is concealed. Each window opening is held at 5:00 p.m., unless otherwise noted. This year, five private residences and some new participating businesses have joined the line-up. The following guidelines have been put into place - please read before attending an opening: Properly worn masks are required. If you're unable to wear a mask, organizers are asking that you refrain from attending the opening event and view the window on your own. Maintain social distancing from anyone not living in the same household as you. If you're not feeling well, or have been in close contact with someone diagnosed with COVID, stay home and enjoy Adventsfenster openings on Facebook. If the guidelines aren't respected, the openings will shift to an all online event.
A virtual event has been planned for the reveal of the window at the Siegenthaler residence, 1119 1st Street, on December 17th. The New Glarus Lions Club designed the window at Hawk's Mill WineHaus, 500 1st Street, to be revealed on December 18th. On December 19th, the window at Kinderladen, 523 1st Street, will be revealed. The old bank building at 130 5th Avenue will reveal their window on December 20th. Mosher and Associates, 513 1st Street, will be revealing their window on December 21st. On December 22nd, the window reveal is at the Judd residence, 307 9th Avenue. Ticino Pizzeria is the host of December 23rd's reveal, at 100 6th Avenue, and the window has been created by New Glarus Girl Scout Troop 7531. New Glarus Bible Church, at 207 6th Street, is the host of the final window reveal on December 24th at 5:30 p.m.

There is no community window walk this year, however, all windows are able to be viewed from your car and while you and your family are driving around enjoying Christmas lights, you can also enjoy looking at the Adventsfensters.
