December 10, 2020
On Monday, November 30th, the Lady Knights hosted Fort Atkinson. Leading by 10 at the half, New Glarus went on to win the game, 69-54.
“It was great to get back out on the court Monday night vs our friends from Fort Atkinson,” said Coach Kevin Parman. “I thought we started out really well, focusing on our mistakes from our first game! One being aggressive and getting to the free throw line, which we did making 17 of 23.”
Leading the team in scoring was Lindsey Schadewalt with 17 points, while Jaylynn Benson scored 16 points and Shealyn Klosterman-Havens scored 10 points.
On December 3rd, New Glarus hosted Black Hawk. The Lady Knights were behind 17-38 at the half and ended up losing the game. The final score was New Glarus 40, Black Hawk 80.
“Playing a team and a very respected program in the State of Wisconsin such as Black Hawk is something we wanted to do! Definitely not the outcome or score we wanted. But a great game to play and learn from,” said Coach Parman. “We definitely found out what we need to improve on but also took positives away from the game.”
Leading the scoring with 7 points for New Glarus was Jaylynn Benson, while Ellie Eichelkraut scored 6 points and Alex Atwell scored 5 points.
The Lady Knights hosted Marshall on December 8th and will host Cambridge on December 11th and play at Lodi on December 14th before hosting Edgewood on December 17th.
