Gustafson Breaks 1,000 Point Milestone

Monticello High School senior Peter Gustafson broke the 1,000 career point mark in the game against Albany.

Gustafson joins a an elite group of Monticello alumni who scored more than 1,000 points in their high school careers: Harvey Elmer, Class of 1951; Bob Zweifel, Class of 1953; Don Karlen, Class of 1955; Jim Zweifel, Class of 1958; Elmer Lemon, Class of 1961; Fritz Benkert, Class of 1967; Roger Gibbons, Class of 1969; Randy Zuber, Class of 1972; Dave Getman, Class of 1974; Keith Hoesly, Class of 1979; Kurt Johnson, Class of 1989; Dan Teasdale, Class of 1993; Tyler Ritschard, Class of 2011; Ben May, Class of 2015; Reece Rufer, Class of 2020.

Last year, Gustafson, along with Reece Rufer, were Co-Conference Players of the Year.

Gustafson was also named First Team All-State by the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association last year.
