Town of New Glarus Thanks to Voters, Poll Workers

November 19, 2020

Dear Editor,

The Town of New Glarus would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who assisted at the polls on November 3. Ruth Elmer, Leslie Brugger, Vicki Sasso, Deb Schilt, and Pat Klossner – the day ran efficiently because of your hard work and cooperation. Ron Roesslein – a big thanks for getting everything set up the day before and taking everything down the day after, along with building everything we needed to be able to safely run the polls outside. Levi – thank you for acting as our greeter, cleaning our voting surfaces, and watching over the polling place. Chris Narveson – thanks for keeping everyone fed and happy. An additional thank you goes out to Boldtronics for installing an additional security camera inside the polling location for an added layer of protection. To those friendly town residents who brought candy and cookies – please know that they were enjoyed by all who worked that day! And finally, thank you to the many people who offered to work at the polls or do special errands for us that day. We had many more offers than we were able to utilize, and it really shows the supportive community feel of the Town of New Glarus. Also, 958 people voted in our municipality, either in person or absentee, which is likely a record number. Nice work utilizing your right to vote!
